Friends of Poppet Ryan Lobo & Ramon Martin of Tome, debuted their F/W13 presentation at New York Fashion Week last Thursday. Inspired by artist Georgia O’Keffe, it was a symphony of beautiful form, and sheer elegance wrapped neatly into 17 perfectly edited looks…

“This season we are inspired by the life and art of this American legend. Her flowers, bones and sky come to life in shapes that sit free from the body, whilst others cocoon. We are influenced by O’Keeffe’s uncompromising vision and her obsession with light and shade. It is the purity and humility of her output and her existence that resonates with us.”

Tome shared some beautiful backstage images with us and we’ve selected some of our favourite looks from the collection – shown on the side of course, to pay tribute to those incredible shapes.

Sapphire wears all own clothing throughout

Their Summer 2013 collection, Paradiso Bianco, is a riot of floral prints, palazzo pants, cheeky shorts and, you guessed it, super sexy dresses perfect for a Sydney Summer.

Terence and I popped by the girls’ studio late last year to take a few pictures and hear about what wardrobe item the girls just can’t live without…

“We have a slight addiction to cashmere and seem to collect sweaters wherever we go. These two came from a recent trip to New York. We love that they’re so oversized and relaxed…they make for the perfect travel companion on long flights. The only down side is that, particularly in winter, we frequently rock up to the office in the exact same outfit as we cannot leave home without them.”
